The meaning of Fulani name Bello: does it came from Fulani or Sufi Numerology?

This is a follow up on Farooq Kperogi's article: Hello Bello: How ‘Bello’ Became Nigeria’s Most Ecumenical Name PUBLISHED BY Daily Trust Sat, 12 Aug 2017 2:00:00 WAT in search of the meaning of the word BELLO Kperogi wrote: "So what does “Bello” mean and why has it become Nigeria’s most universal ethnic name? I asked several of my Fulani friends, and they are all united in saying that “Bello” is derived from the Fulfulde word for “helper.” The actual Fulfulde word is “ballo,” but it got corrupted to “Bello” over time, possibly first by Hausa speakers." He added "Interestingly, non-Nigerian Fulani people (such as the Fulanis is Guinea, the only country where Fulanis enjoy a numerical majority) don’t recognize “Bello” as an authentic Fulani name. A Malian Fulani I met here in the US told me he didn’t know any Fulani in his country who bore that name. This didn’t surprise me because, as I stated earlier, “Bello” is the corruption of “Ballo.” in my view, there is another version which is more authentic than what Farooq explored in his article. The name Muḥammad in Arabic numerology (Hisabul Jummal) has the value of "92" (=م40, 8=ح, =م40, =د4) and it is usually represented by the letters: (baḍ). (بض) ba=2, ḍ=90 the value =92. It is a well-known culture within Hausa Fulani Muslim communities to avoid mentioning great names such as your father, teacher and of course, the name of the Prophet, Muhammad, as it will come to the place where you have to abuse or curse someone bearing the s same name, hence, they need a way to deviate from the actual name by distorting, corrupting the name in many cases looking for an alternative name (nickname). in search of this alternative name Fulani scholars used the Hisabul Jummal and chose (بض) to represent "Muhammad" and the second Sultan of Sokoto Muḥammad Bello (d.1837) took his name “Bello” after the numeral value above. This is a way to avoid mentioning “Muḥammad” too often in a lowly manner. hence “Bello” is the corruption of (بض) as both Hausa and Fulani had no letter ḍ (ض), this why pronouncing it بل just as the corrupted the word الوضوء (ablution ) which they corrupted to ALWALA, in addition to the difficulty of pronouncing two letters with too close characteristics and articulation points met together in a single word or close even for Arab themselves.
